CURRENTLY SPONSORING:

Collecting backpacks for the children on the Appalachian Trail to be delivered and
distributed in December.

Will sponsor the Samaritan Shoe Boxes to be filled for World-wide distribution.

WMU – Leads Missions for Walker Baptist Church through the following:

Prayer Walking
Annie Armstrong Easter Offering – supporting North American Mission Board
Backpacks for Hope – supporting Georgia Baptist Mission Board
Love packages for shut-in, and nursing home members
Supports Conestoga Missions
Supports Vacation Bible School
Teaching Missions to Children’s Ministry
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering – supporting International Mission Board
Operation – Christmas Child – Supporting Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Boxes
Ladies Tea – Proceeds going to support Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

The regular meeting time for WMU is the second Sunday of each month at 4:30 p.m.

WOMEN WITH A MISSION:

MISSION STATEMENT: We are followers of Christ, wives, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, and friends. The purpose of our Women’s Ministry is to equip and encourage the women of Walker Baptist Church to grow in their faith in Christ, to strengthen and build intimate friendships within the church through fellowship and times of sharing, and to serve and reach women in our community for Christ.

 


CURRENTLY

WWAM has teams that you can be a part of:

The teams meet the first Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. to formulate plans for visiting and meeting the needs of the homebound and nursing home residents of the church family along with visiting others in need.

 


UPCOMING:

WMU Annual ladies tea will be held on Thursday, November 14, 7:00pm.

Featured speaker and music artist this year will be Miles Pike from Texas. Mike has a great
testimony and presents the truth of the gospel through his music. Tables will be sponsored by the ladies, and tickets for the event will be $15.00 per person.  Please call the church office 770-267-2363 for more information or call Carolyn Malcom, WMU Director at 770-267-2607.
