Prayer Walking
Annie Armstrong Easter Offering – supporting North American Mission Board
Backpacks for Hope – supporting Georgia Baptist Mission Board
Love packages for shut-in, and nursing home members
Supports Conestoga Missions
Supports Vacation Bible School
Teaching Missions to Children’s Ministry
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering – supporting International Mission Board
Operation – Christmas Child – Supporting Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Boxes
The regular meeting time for WMU is the second Sunday of each month at 4:30 p.m.

WOMEN WITH A MISSION:

MISSION STATEMENT: We are followers of Christ, wives, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, and friends. The purpose of our Women’s Ministry is to equip and encourage the women of Walker Baptist Church to grow in their faith in Christ, to strengthen and build intimate friendships within the church through fellowship and times of sharing, and to serve and reach women in our community for Christ.

 


CURRENTLY

TEAMS ARE NOT MEETING, BUT HOPEFULLY WILL RESUME IN JANUARY, 2023

WWAM has teams that you can be a part of:

The teams meet the first Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. to formulate plans for visiting and meeting the needs of the homebound and nursing home residents of the church family along with visiting others in need.

 


UPCOMING: WMU Events


The WMU ladies tea will be held on Thursday, November 10.  at 6:30pm. If you are interested in attending contact the church office or Carolyn Malcom 770-267-2607 no later than Monday, November 7th.

Backpacks for the Kentucky mission trip are available for pickup and must be returned to the church office no later than Monday, November28th. If you are interested in going on the mission trip to Kentucky please contact the church office.

Samaritan shoe boxes must be returned to the church no later than Sunday, November 20th.
