WMU – Leads Missions for Walker Baptist Church through the following:

Prayer Walking
Annie Armstrong Easter Offering – supporting North American Mission Board
Backpacks for Hope – supporting Georgia Baptist Mission Board
Love packages for shut-in, and nursing home members
Supports Conestoga Missions
Supports Vacation Bible School
Teaching Missions to Children’s Ministry
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering – supporting International Mission Board
Operation – Christmas Child – Supporting Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Boxes
The regular meeting time for WMU is the second Sunday of each month at 4:30 p.m.

WOMEN WITH A MISSION:

MISSION STATEMENT: We are followers of Christ, wives, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, and friends. The purpose of our Women’s Ministry is to equip and encourage the women of Walker Baptist Church to grow in their faith in Christ, to strengthen and build intimate friendships within the church through fellowship and times of sharing, and to serve and reach women in our community for Christ.

TEAMS ARE NOT MEETING, BUT HOPEFULLY WILL RESUME IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

WWAM has teams that you can be a part of:

The teams meet the first Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. to formulate plans for visiting and meeting the needs of the homebound and nursing home residents of the church family along with visiting others in need.

 


UPCOMING: WMU Events


WMU meets monthly, watch for times to be announced and future activities.

Ladies Tea will be held on November 7, 2024, arrive 6:30pm and be served at 7:00pm.

There will be great music followed by speaker Sandra Conner. If you would like to have a table please contact Carolyn Malcom at 770-267-2607 and let her know the number of guest you will have.
